Janchivdorj Sengedorj has become known to the world thanks to his previous film, The Sales Girl, a semi-odd mixture of comedy and teen drama centered on a teen who takes up a part-time job at a sexy shop. Whoever has seen this tender mongolian drama might be borderline shocked when seeing Silent City Driver, his much more mature follow-up. Described as a noir due to its content and rather racy storyline, Silent City Driver is an attempt to reach a more artful sort of filmmaking, and it very much gets close enough.
