Made in EU, at first, will appear to most as the typical “film with a thesis”, a film that has as central aim the exposition and denouncement of a social issue - in this, case, the exploitation of labour by sweatshops set up in Bulgaria, on the soil of the European Union, but that operate in extremely dire conditions. Still, this is not the viewing experience of Komandarev’s latest film, still domainated by the necessity of storytelling.
